Ed Currie, founder of Ft. Mill, SC-based PuckerButt Pepper Co. and creator of the Carolina Reaper, is reported to be at it again. According to Currie, his newest creation (HP56) is said to be nearly twice as hot (3 million Scoville units vs. 1.6 million) as the Reaper.

During a recent media tour, Currie invited people to try the new pepper for themselves. Watch the video below featuring a classic reaction from a brave taste tester.
