Citing anonymous sources, Reuters news agency said Monsanto has approached Bayer AG about a potential acquisition of its CropScience business worth more than $30 billion.

This news follows Monsanto’s failed bid for Syngenta, which agreed earlier this year to be acquired by ChemChina for $43 billion.
