Time Running Out on Viewing Great Lakes Expo Sessions

Three of the major winter vegetable trade shows — Great Lakes Expo, the Southeast Regional Conference, and Mid-Atlantic Convention — went virtual. It offers a rare opportunity for growers who usually cannot travel to attend these shows. Another boon is the shows are archiving their educational session, which allows for flexibility.

But the opportunities will not last forever. The first of the winter shows, Great Lakes Expo, took place in early December. Its educational sessions have been available to view since the show ended. However, the show website and its sessions will close on January 15. If you wish to access the dozens of excellent classes from Great Lakes Expo, your time is running out.

Greg Bird, Executive Director of Michigan Vegetable Council, which is one of the hosts of Great Lakes Expo, recommends anyone wanting to view a class do so by the end of day January 14. The company hosting the show site may close it down at any point on January 15.

You need to register for the show in order to access the classes. So long as the show website is up, you can still register.

The Other Winter Shows

The Southeast Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference is taking place January 5 through 7. Like Great Lakes Expo, organizers are recording the classes and making them available to registrants following the show. Its classes will post by January 15 and will stay available through the end of April 2021.
