The data contained in NACE’s January 2015 Salary Survey report was provided by NACE employer members, who reported their projected salaries for their anticipated new hires from the Class of 2015.

Data in the January report include projected starting salaries for nearly 60 majors at the bachelor’s degree level, 44 majors at the master’s degree level, and 14 disciplines at the doctoral degree level. Data are reported by major, industry, and region.

I am a business major and have worked in the industry for over 30 years. Wages have tripled since I graduated college, but the difference in pay between engineers and bussiness majors has only doubled. The gap on a percentage basis has narrowed. The pay for business majors in their 50’s is better than the pay for engineers. A life time career in business will likely pay the same as engineers. I have a son who is an engineering graduate from an excellent school in 2013. He has had very few interview and no job offers. I would like to know the employment level of each college degree. What good is the average salary if there is very little work in a given field of study!!!
