Label for Voliam Flexi Insecticide Now Includes Vegetables

EPA approved a label expansion for Syngenta Crop Protection’s Voliam Flexi insecticide. The product is now approved for use on vegetables including brassica, cucurbit, fruiting, and leafy vegetables. Voliam Flexi is already registered for use on potatoes, pome fruit, stone fruit ,and grapes.

State registrations or specific crop and/or pest uses may still be pending in certain states. Please check with your state regulatory agency to determine registration status.

The product features two modes of action to protect crops from chewing and sucking insects as well as lepidopteran pests. It contains chlorantraniliprole (CTPR), a mode of action from the diamide family of insecticides, and thiamethoxam, a member of the neonicotinoid class of chemistry. These two active ingredients are combined in a solution that delivers a broad spectrum of control of damaging insect pests in vegetables.

“Different insect pest populations often overlap in these vegetable crops, and growers can maximize their window of opportunity by controlling aphids, armyworms and leafhoppers with one product,” said John Koenig, Syngenta insecticide brand manager.
