Amber (Johnny's Selected Seeds)
A new standout yellow carrot. ‘Amber’s roots average 7 inches long. The color varies from cream, to pale yellow. The taste is pleasant, mildly sweet flavor and crunchy texture. The strong, healthy tops, are similar to ‘Bolero’. ‘Amber’ has an excellent yield potential, a Nantes x Imperator. This variety is available as raw or pelleted seeds. Matures in 70 days.
‘Bolero’ is a proven variety (year in and year out), as a versatile Nantes suited for bunching, slicing and baby Nantes markets. An early maturing carrot!
‘Brillyance’ is a hybrid bright orange carrot. It has excellent uniformity and very smooth texture. An upright growth habit with good attachment. High yields with great seedling vigor. A mid-late maturity.
‘Fire Wedge’ is a hybrid Kuroda. It is high yielding with excellent internal and external color; making it ideal for both fresh and processing markets. It resists cracking, good for fall, to early spring harvesting. Matures 120 days after sowing.
All season Nantes with excellent uniformity and flavor. In our trials, ‘Jerada’ was consistently 1 inch in diameter, long and straight, with a good refined connection between clean orange shoulders and healthy tops. It’s suitable for fresh, bunching, and processing markets. ‘Jerada’ is adaptable to mechanical harvesting and cold storage. Days to maturity from transplant is 80 days, 90 from seed.
A uniform cylindrical root with well-rounded tips at maturity. ‘Musico’ has a strong attachment for harvest by lifting or bunching, and very good internal quality. A good replacement for ‘Primo’. An early maturing variety.
All season Nantes with great versatility. It can be harvested early as a tasty baby carrot, a full-size main-season buncher, or over-wintered in tunnels for its exceptional sweet flavor, after frost. ‘Napoli’s’ bright orange roots are smooth and blunt with a slight taper. Matures in 60 days.
‘Navedo’ late Nantes. The average root length is 8 to 10 inches. A new variety showing good results as a slicer, Cello, and for fresh market bunching. Matures in 63 days.
‘Narvik F1’ is an easy growing mid-early Nantes with nice flavor and texture. The 7 to 8 inch roots are uniform and cylindrical, with strong, healthy, and erect tops. ‘Narvik’ holds well in storage, and adaptable to standard or high density spacing. Matures in 60 days.
‘Orange Fancy’ is a bright orange, Imperator, Cello variety. It has a very smooth root, with blunt tip. The average length is 9 to 10 inches long. Ideal for fresh market cello packs and slicer processing. The smooth skin reduces soil retention and improves pack-out. Suitable for spring and summer sowing with summer and fall harvest. ‘Orange Fancy’ has excellent harvest uniformity and high yield potential. Matures approximately 110 to 120 days, (varies by region and season).

‘Orange Slice’ has long, smooth, uniform roots with high yield potential. This ‘Imperator’ is resistant to early bolting with vigorous and healthy foliage. It can be used for fresh market or slicer segments.
‘Parisian’ resemble radishes, the roots are 1 inches round. The tops average 9 to 10 inches. They are red-orange in color. Great for fresh market. Matures in 55 to 65 days.
‘Pittsburg F1’ is an Imperator, variety. It has a good yield, well suited for the cut and peel industry. It’s adaptable to different areas with decent tops, and uniformity in shape. The smooth roots average 12 to 13 inches in length. ‘Pittsburg F1’ is a harvest friendly variety!
‘Rainbow Blend’ is a unique blend of five carrot varieties: ‘Atomic Red’, ‘Bambino’, ‘Cosmic Purple’, ‘Lunar White’, and ‘Solar Yellow’. It creates the perfect bunches of baby carrots. A fresh market variety. Matures in 70 to 80 days.
Rainbow F1 (Bejo Seeds, Garden Trends Inc, DBA Harris Seeds)
This unique hybrid is a single variety with multi-colored roots in white, yellow, orange, and coral. Unlike colored carrot mixes, the roots of ‘Rainbow F1’ mature uniformly; for beautiful bunches of 7 to 9 inch carrots with 12 inch tops. Matures in 67 days.
‘Rebel’ is a long hybrid carrot that is slightly tapered, and high yielding. It shows high adaptability and consistency, and has excellent tip fill. A high percentage of cellos, and oversized are good for the jumbo segment. A midseason maturing variety.
Siroco F1 (Vilmorin-Mikado USA, Garden Trends Inc, DBA Harris Seeds)
This 8- to 9-inch Nantes carrot is very smooth with a cylindrical shouldered shape. ‘Siroco F1’ has well-rounded tips at maturity, ideal for slicing and cello markets. The roots average 1.5 to 1.75 inches in diameter and have a small core, and good color. The strongly attached tops can handle harvest by top-lifting. Matures in 70 days.
‘Vermillion’ is a hybrid Nantes and Kuroda crossbreed. The uniform cylindrical roots have excellent color and taste. They average 8.5 inches long with a 2.5 inch diameter, weighing approximately 10.5 ounces. A medium-early bolting habit. The recommended harvest is winter to spring. Matures 120 days after sowing.
‘Ymer RZ’ is a hybrid multipurpose, mid-early Berlicum, Nantes carrot for fresh market and long-term cold storage. It has a cylindrical shape and smooth skin that can change to conical shape under flat cultivation. ‘Ymer RZ’ is very uniform in both length and diameter with intense orange color and strong, dark-green foliage. This variety produces excellent results in regions with light-to-medium, heavy soil. Matures 110 to 130 days.
