Take Control of Ripening for More Quality Blueberries and Marketable Yield Potential.

To make the most of every blueberry harvest, many growers have adopted an innovative method to control ripening.

Harvista™ 1.3 SC from AgroFresh™ gives growers unmatched control over the ripening process—and their bottom-line projections. This near-harvest solution offers a unique mode of action for greater control over plant maturation processes.

Ethylene is a plant’s natural hormone that accelerates these processes. Based on 1-Methylcyclopropene (1-MCP), Harvista 1.3 SC delays the acceleration of maturity processes caused by ethylene. As shown in the accompanying graphic, 1-MCP does this by temporarily blocking the receptor sites for ethylene on the plant.

This unique mode of protection against ethylene delays the mechanical changes associated with blueberry softening and decreases the softening rate.

The result: optimal yield and firmer, better-quality blueberries.*

Equally effective whether blueberries are picked by machine or hand, Harvista 1.3 SC is the innovation that can deliver greater blueberry firmness retention, increased pack-out volume and reduced defects.

Application timing of Harvista 1.3 SC is geography- and varietal-dependent. But based on field trial results, Harvista 1.3 SC application should be applied, on average, at 25% color (c25), approximately 7-12 days before harvest.

Field sales technicians from AgroFresh are available to assist with questions regarding application. In addition, the company offers a step-by-step application video, ROI value calibration tool and cutting-edge calibration app as part of its offerings.

To gain confidence in your next blueberry harvest and every harvest after that, blueberry growers should consider adopting the innovative, pre-harvest technology of Harvista 1.3 SC.
