Nichino America, Inc. Celebrates 10 Years

Delaware-based Nichino America, which began with one product and six employees in 2001, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. The 12 brands Nichino produces today for tree fruits, vegetables, cotton, potatoes, peanuts, and other crops, are recognized for their efficacy on target pests, ease of application, and good fit with integrated pest management and resistance management programs.

The history of Nichino America’s parent company, Nihon Nohyaku, can be traced to the first agrochemical ever developed in Japan. Nihon Nohyaku, the recipient of many prestigious chemical technology awards, today remains an innovative leader in the Japanese agrochemical and pharmaceuticals industries. A representative office of Nihon Nohyaku was established in New York in 1995. At the time, the company was licensing its chemistries to other agrochemical companies. The company later incorporated as Nichino America, Inc., relocated to Delaware, and in 2001, began formulating Nichino America products from chemistry developed in Japan. The U.S. office is designed primarily to develop, register, and market agrochemicals in North America.
