Vestaron Backs up Biocontrol Products with New Marketing Might
Vestaron Corp., a Kalamazoo, MI-based company that specializes in specialty crop protection through biological peptides, has appointed Sherry Mitchell as its new Director of Marketing.
Most recently, Mitchell was North America Director of Communications for Nufarm Americas for its agriculture and turf segments. She also has strong brand and creative experience in other fields including creative agencies and educational institutions.
Last year, Vestaron brought introduced SPEAR-T, its first bioinsecticide for control of the top four major greenhouse pests – thrips, aphids, whiteflies, and mites. In late 2018, the company announced EPA approval of its second product in the SPEAR family, SPEAR-Lep for control of lepitopteran pests for fruits, vegetables, and other specialty field crops.
Vestaron expects to continue build-out of this family of products and reports having additional families of bioinsecticides in development.
“Sherry is charged with shaping and promoting our current and future branded products, as well as the stature of our corporation,” Anna Rath, Vestaron’s CEO, stated in a prepared news release.
