Salmonella Source Now Questioned

Even some at the FDA are questioning whether raw tomatoes are the only source of the outbreak. The longevity of the outbreak is making investigators take another look at other possible sources of contamination. CDC officials also suggest there is no evidence that the source of the contamination has been removed from the market.

I’ve even heard two food items are being tested this week as a possible source of contamination, and they are not raw tomatoes. The investigation around this whole outbreak has left me scratching my head in confusion, wondering what strange twist will come next. Hopefully, investigators will learn from this outbreak and handle the next one with a better footing.
