What Farm Marketers Plan To Grow In 2016 [Infographic]

We asked fruit and vegetable direct marketers which crops they are growing and if their 2016 production will increase or decrease, and we found some interesting results.

For almost every crop, a slim majority of growers report that they were holding steady in their production levels this year. Only two crops of the top 15 (five fruit and 10 vegetable crops) were shy of that 50% mark — 47% of pome fruit and berry growers. But they were also the two with the highest increases in production: 43% and 48% respectively, which means more berry growers are increasing production than holding steady.

In the infographic below, the crops are listed from those most commonly grown by farm marketers to the least most commonly grown.
