Dow AgroSciences Insecticides Registered For European Grapevine Moth

Grape growers now have four insecticides for control of European grapevine moth (EGVM). Dow AgroSciences received registration from U.S. EPA and California Department of Pesticide Regulation for Intrepid, Delegate, Success, and Entrust insecticides for use in grapes to control EGVM.

Intrepid (methoxyfenozide) is an insect growth regulator that provides control of all lepidopteran pests, including leafrollers and orange tortix.

Delegate (spinetoram) controls both worms and thrips, and has activity on EGVM eggs and larvae.

Success (spinosad) is in the same class of chemistry as delegate and should be used when export tolerance issues arise with other insect control products.

Entrust (spinosad) is OMRI-approved as an allowable product for organically-produced grapes.
