CBS Early Show Covers South Carolina-Georgia Peach War

Clemson Peach Specialist and American/Western Fruit Grower stone fruit columnist Desmond Layne appeared on the CBS Early Show Monday, August 15, to talk about the friendly rivalry between peach-growing states South Carolina and Georgia.

“South Carolina is the perfect place for growing peaches, because we have cool winters and we have long, hot summers with adequate rainfall and really good soils — perfect for peaches,” Layne said.
