Washington Growers League Hosts Training Events

Washington Growers League will host training events designed for supervisors and those training others in respirator fitting.

This workshop will provide participants with an overview of the basic roles and responsibilities of a supervisor that help to “yield good fruit” among the people they oversee and is designed for both English and Spanish-speaking supervisors. Simultaneous interpretation through headphones — reserved in advance during registration.

The workshops will be held Dec. 5 in Wenatchee, Dec. 17 in Pasco, Dec. 18 in Walla Walla, Jan. 9 in Granger, Jan. 15 in Lynden, Jan. 16 in Mount Vernon, and Jan. 29 in Puyallup.

Participants will learn hands-on, how to properly perform the respirator fit-testing procedures and all the rules and requirements involving respirator use and maintenance. Attendees will also learn how to develop and maintain a written respirator program.

The workshop will be held Jan. 10 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at Northwest Communities’ Education Center; 121 Sunnyside Ave.; in Granger, WA.
