New Utility Vehicles Step It up Down on the Farm

Here’s a look at the latest utility vehicles (UTVs) from John Deere and Kubota.

John Deere XUV835R Gator

This crossover utility vehicle comes with a three-person cab with heating and air conditioning. Easier shifting with integrated park position and an electronic switch for instant 4WD engagement. It has improved power steering for smoother operation.

The machine is powered by a 54 horsepower 3-cylinder engine with dual overhead cams, is liquid-cooled, and has a four-cycle gasoline engine. It produces 6.5 kgm (47 pound-foot) of torque at 3200 rpm. The advanced electronic controls and fuel-injection system deliver good starting, idling, and throttle response during operation.
