Primus optical and laser sorters are capable of speeding up the sorting process significantly. The high-speed, round and thin transport belts move berries quickly and gently, without compromising inspection accuracy. “It’s great for fresh, and excellent for process,” says Alex Cornelius of Heagan Farms, which has a blueberry packing facility for one of the nation’s largest blueberry marketers. “The Primus’ ability to determine precise berry color is excellent because of its high definition optical system.
