Traceback.com provides absolute traceability for field-packed fresh produce to the exact GPS spot of harvest and the date and time it happened. For example, if you harvest 1,600 boxes of produce, every labeled box would have a different barcode as time changes, and the GPS site changes for every box packed. The supply chain dates and codes from field to fork can be seen if there is an issue or an event. The pdf417 barcode is used for fast reading at the receiving station of every incoming field-packed container, which has all necessary traceback data and can be entered into ScoringAg’s database in real time. With this technology there is a high-speed, high-accuracy check-in of inventory at the receiving area. The shipping dock would also have a new mix of times and codes for outgoing loaded shipping containers.
