Lipman Family Farms Strikes New Deal for Its Fall and Winter Tomatoes
South Florida-based Lipman Family Farms, the largest open-field tomato grower in North America, is proud to announce a new partnership with longtime Florida-based grower West Coast Tomato to sell and market its round and roma tomato crop for the upcoming fall and winter season.
Led by Dan McClure, 5th generation of family leadership, West Coast Tomato has farmed in Florida for 80 years. The company now owns farming and packinghouse operations in Palmetto and Immokalee, FL.
“This deal aligns with our ongoing commitment to delivering fresh produce year-round while supporting regional growers and ensuring supply chain continuity,” says Elyse Lipman, CEO at Lipman Family Farms.
This marks the fourth major deal within the last two years for Lipman Family Farms. In 2024, the company welcomed Jones & Church Farms of Unicoi, TN — another longtime roma tomato partner — and expanded in the Northeast market with the acquisition of Northeast Produce, a tomato re-packer in Connecticut. Earlier this year, Lipman added Shelton & Sons Farms of Tennessee to its business portfolio.
