Since July 2015, 12 people have been hospitalized as a result of the outbreak and one person from Michigan has died. Other states reporting illnesses were Indiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

On Jan. 21, Dole reported to CDC it stopped production at the Springfield, OH, facility. Brands of the salads impacted include Dole, Fresh Selections, Simple Truth, Marketside, The Little Salad Bar, and President’s Choice.

According to the CDC, there is no evidence at this time indicating salads from other Dole processing plants in the U.S. are linked to this Listeria outbreak.
