Pumpkin: Orange Sunrise [Rispens Seeds]
‘Orange Sunrise,’ bred by Harris Moran Seed Co., is a precocious yellow type, yet it is a dark-orange color that may mask some fruit discoloration caused by virus. It has intermediate resistance to powdery mildew. It matures very early — 85 days — giving flexibility in planting schedules. The Jack-o-lantern-type pumpkin weighs in at 12 to 18 pounds and grows well in the Midwest and Northeast.

Sweet Corn: Seminole Sweet XR [Siegers Seed Co.]
Bred by Illinois Foundation Seeds and distributed by Siegers, ‘Seminole Sweet XR’ is a hybrid, bicolor supersweet variety, with 7- to 8-inch ears and a 16- to 18-row count. It is a high-quality shipper that combines high yields with superior flavor. This variety has a dark-green husk package and good husk protection to go along with a clean, strong plant, and excellent kernel color. It matures in 80 days, and has a high resistance to common rust or Puccinia sorghi (RpG), and intermediate resistance to Northern leaf blight or Exserohilum turcicum.
