Richard Raid, Professor, University of Florida, is a plant pathologist Professor at the Everglades Research and Education Center, University of Florida, Belle Glade, FL 33430. [email protected]. Raid has over 30 years of experience serving as the regional extension specialist whose research focuses on addressing diseases of vegetables and culinary herbs. Dr. Raid was one of first to observe Fusarium disease on sweet basil and was part of the team who first identified and reported basil downy mildew in the U.S. in 2007.
