Migrant Mexican Farmworkers Vote To Quit Canadian Union

Union restrictions, agreed to two years ago by migrant farmworkers in Canada, led to a vote this week to decertify from the United Food and Commercial Workers union because farmworkers say they can make more money working longer hours, without mandatory overtime pay.

Farmworkers in both Manitoba and British Columbia have voted to decertify, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Company.
