North American Farmers’ Direct Marketing Association (NAFDMA) has announced the election of Cynthia Chiles of Charlottesville, VA, to president of the association. Chiles was elected unanimously by fellow board members at the Board of Directors meeting during the annual convention in Kansas City, MO. As the incoming president, she is also chairwoman of the Board of Directors and tasked with leading and facilitating the board during their monthly meetings as they set policy and direction for the organization.

Chiles joined the NAFDMA board in 2011, holding the seat for the Southeast Region. Her knowledge and contacts with members of the farm direct marketing and agritourism industry in her home state was integral in bringing the 2012 NAFDMA Convention to Williamsburg, VA. She was further recognized for her tireless efforts on behalf of the association as the recipient of the NAFDMA Leadership Award in 2013.
