Registration Opens Dec. 1 For NAFDMA 30th Annual Convention

NAFDMA-logoNorth American Farmers’ Direct Marketing Association (NAFDMA) will hold its 30th annual convention in Tennessee on February 1-6. The theme of the 2015 NAFDMA Convention is “The Stage is Set.” Registration for this event opens Dec. 1.

This convention is a five-day event comprising of bus tours, educational sessions, workshops, and a business exchange. It brings farm direct marketers and agritourism operators from all over the continent together for learning and networking.

Convention delegates will travel to Nashville, TN, to begin their convention experience. They will also spend two days in Knoxville, TN. This schedule gives attendees the opportunity to experience farm operations on the bus tour and spend time in two of Tennessee’s premier cities. Nashville, known as Music City, is rated one of the top travel destination to visit in the world by Conté Nast Traveler. Knoxville is an historic city nestled on the Tennessee River in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.

Convention Highlights
Farm Visits: Three days of the convention consist of NAFDMA’s School on Wheels. The tour will highlight some of Tennessee’s best agritourism destination farms including Lucky Ladd Farm in Eagleville, TN; Granddaddy’s Farm in Estill Springs, TN; and Apple Barn Cider Mill & General Store in Sevierville, TN. Each bus will have an individualized focus to give attendees an in-depth opportunity to network and share subject matter that is important to them.

Business Exchange and Trade Show: This unique trade show features the latest products and services available for farm retail and on-farm entertainment. Vendors are given the opportunity to meet with potential customers outside of the traditional booth setup. This allows them to showcase their business in a way not offered at other conventions.

Workshops and Sessions: Two full days of sessions and workshops will bring peer speakers from the industry as well as professional speakers from outside the industry to provide attendees information on how essential business practices can help grow a farm business. Topics for the day of concurrent and general sessions will include agritourism, farm retail, generation Y, enterprise development, marketing, employees, business growth and management, and events on the farm.
