Florida, South Carolina Peach Growers Team Up For Extended Season

According to South Carolina- based Titan Farms, its peach marketing season will start five weeks early this year thanks to a new partnership agreement with Florida’s largest peach grower. Sizemore Farms in Mulberry is a vertically integrated grower, packer, and shipper of premium Florida strawberries and peaches. Titan Farms will begin shipping from Florida on April 4. Peaches from Titan Farms’ orchards in South Carolina will ship starting the week of May 16. South Carolina’s peach season extends into early September, weeks after Georgia’s peach season ends.

“Thanks to our new partnership with Sizemore Farms, we can offer a seamless transition from Florida to South Carolina peaches while maintaining our high-quality standards,” said Chalmers Carr, President of Titan Farms.

On its end, Sizemore sees the partnership as an opportunity to capitalize on Titan Farms’ experience in cultivating, harvesting, and packing peaches, along with its sales and marketing capabilities.

“We are elated to be working with Titan Farms’ respected quality operations,” said John Sizemore, Principal at Sizemore Farms. “We’ve been growing peaches for years and are ready to take our Florida-grown peach business to the next level.”
