Tough Boy Gold (AmericanTakii)
‘Tough Boy Gold’ is an indeterminate, orange-yellow tomato with medium-sized leaves, and short internodes. The average fruit weigh 7.5 to 8 ounces. It has high Cis-Lycopene levels. ‘Tough Boy Gold’ doesn’t have blossom end rot (calcium deficiency), less to no cracking, better root system, good setting under colder temperatures, some cork under calyx in cold periods. WonderStar Pink (PanAmerican Seed)
The WonderStar series of beefsteak tomato are early maturing, determinate hybrids that feature heirloom style fruit, with great flavor. They have a compact habit and perform well in smaller spaces. The fruit size is 2.5 inches long by 3.5 inches wide and mature to about 8 to 10 ounces (227-283 g) per tomato. The plants have a good intermediate disease resistance package for a healthy plant that produces a large harvest in a matter of weeks. Tomatoes are available in Red as well as a new Pink, and good for all regions. Matures 60 to 65 days from transplant.
