Some people, me included, like watermelon with seeds. Crimson sweet is an older variety with seeds and a favorite.

We have tried many seeded varieties, but we always come back to Jade Star (Pata Negra). This variety has bounced between breeders, but we always get compliments from customers and asks for this variety from grocery stores. It’s a large sugar baby type. We use it as a pollinator and like that it is easy to see what is the seeded and what is the seedless in the field.

If you can market seeded varieties this is a very reliable and high yielder (at least it has been for us over the last decade.)
