How To Voice Your Support for the Securing Agriculture’s Workforce Act

The Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA) is urging members to contact their U.S. Representative and ask them to co-sponsor H.R. 9535, the Securing Agriculture’s Workforce Act of 2026. Introduced by House Agriculture Committee Chairman Glenn “GT” Thompson (R-PA), this bipartisan bill would deliver the first statutory reform to the H-2A visa program in 40 years, expanding access for year-round operations, controlling runaway labor costs, and streamlining a process that has become unworkable for producers and the businesses that supply them.

Chairman Thompson is actively working to build a strong list of co-sponsors as this legislation moves forward, and every additional voice from the ag sector helps demonstrate the breadth of support behind this effort. Other agriculture associations in support of this legislation includes, American Farm Bureau Federation, U.S. Apple Association, Western Growers, Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association, the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture, among others.
