“At Lipman, we attribute much of our success to our integrated business model and our geographic diversity,” said Kent Shoemaker, CEO of Lipman. “Coastal expands our operations in the Pacific Northwest – and as a result, gets us closer to our customers.”

The newly acquired company will join Lipman’s network of research and development, farming, packing, processing, repacking and procurement solutions.

“Both companies are known within the industry for dependability and commitment, so this partnership is a natural fit,” said Michael Myers, owner of Coastal Brokers. “We’re proud to join the Lipman family and look forward to a prosperous future together.”

Lipman commands a large percentage of the fresh tomato industry and employs more than 4,000 workers in 23 locations throughout North America.
