Pacific Collier Fresh Shuts Down

Pacific Collier Fresh-Collier Pacific Farms, a joint venture with Pacific Farms, recently shuttered its Immokalee area growing operations. Part of Barron Collier Cos. portfolio, Pacific Collier Fresh was the producer, packer, and shipper of nearly two million boxes of bell peppers and 360,000 boxes of yellow and green squash annually.

Earlier this month, Pacific Collier’s farm equipment was divested via public auction. According to a Weeks Auction Co. Inc. notice, reason for auction stated: “Collier Pacific Farms has made the decision to dissolve the partnership and liquidate their farm machinery and other equipment.”

In addition to its Immokalee location, the company also closed its packaging, growing, and brokering operations in Cecil, GA.

Pacific Collier Fresh marketed tomatoes and vegetables under the Sunripe brand.
