California Nursery Marks 75th Anniversary

Dave Wilson Nursery held an open house Friday to celebrate their customers, “and for helping us be the #1 fruit, nut, and shade tree nursery in California for 75 years,” said marketing director Katie Amaral, who organized the event. “It was about our customers and how thankful we are for them and that they continue to buy trees from us year after year.”

Roughly 750 people were in attendance for the open house at the Hickman, CA, nursery, which included truck tours through the growing grounds hosted by nursery employees such as Greenhouse Manager Michael Farris. There were also eight industry-allied vendors that were invited, including Western Fruit Grower/GrowingProduce.com. There was also a raffle drawing after a catered lunch where the nursery gave away five $500 gift cards, two iPads, 1 mini iPad, a Weber grill, and a 55-inch television.

“We were very pleased to see so many of our old friends on this important milestone,” said nursery owner Robert Woolley. “Dave Wilson Nursery is blessed to be an integral component of California agriculture over the past 75 years.”
