Malibu Coast Viticultural Area Proposed

The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) published a notice of proposed rulemaking last week to establish the “Malibu Coast” American viticultural area in portions of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties in southern California. If established, the proposed viticultural area would include the existing Malibu-Newton Canyon and Saddle Rock-Malibu viticultural areas. The TTB proposal is in response to a petition filed on behalf of local vintners and grape growers.
