Live Snake Found In Bag Of Potatoes

It seems like every shopper’s worst nightmare. Pennsylvania resident Bonnie Raygor claims she got a bit more than she bargained for when she opened up a bag of potatoes she purchased a week earlier, and found a 3½-foot long snake inside.

Raygor states she saw what she thought was a bad potato, which instead turned out to be a living, breathing reptile.

“The bag was sealed. The only thing that’s in it are little holes. So I’m assuming it was in there when I bought it. I screamed,” she told www.wtae.com

I wonder where these potatoes were grown and packed and if the snake was poisonous or not? I know I have seen spiders crawl out of sealed banana boxes before. They were not small spiders either. Needless to say I did not save the spiders. They were immediately squashed. Why on earth would the woman save the snake? It would have lost it's head immediately in my home.

If the snake in the video is in fact the snake that came out of the bag then I would be suspicious. Is this a snake that is indigenous to the area in Maine where the potatoes come from? it looks like a tropical snake to me. Looks like someone lost their pet snake or a bad joke.

They look like storage potatoes to me from Maine. No way does a snake get in a consumer bag from a Walmart vendor . They're Food Safety requirements are over the top. Looks like a lost pet to me.
