New iPhone App Helps Shoppers Choose Apples

Them Apples, a new free iPhone app available through iTunes, features a comprehensive index of the most popular apple varieties and their best uses. The app has information and images on more than 20 different kinds of apples. Each apple is assigned a details page that highlights the flavor and texture, as well as how they rate for uses such as eating, baking, sauce, and pie.

“This app is like having an apple variety guide right at your fingertips,” says Jim Allen, president of the New York Apple Association. The app was created by Aquariform Designs in conjunction with the New York Apple Association.

The app is fully compatible with all iPhone and iPod touch devices.
